Peter has held several CEO and General Manager roles over 20 years across the local and commonwealth public sectors
He has applied several transformational tools in reshaping organisation culture, skills and focus including Human Synergistics for leadership in executives, Hogans for recruitment of key staff and Colloquium for development of teams. Similarly, Peter has fashioned salary systems, performance frameworks and organisation structures on a service-program-activity framework.
Peter designed several policy and program initiatives and models involving rating and finance, triple bottom line and integrated planning with financial, asset and workforce planning successfully introduced into local councils. He also shaped infrastructure prospectus and asset, utility and risk management models that was recognised with NSW Premier, CPA President and United Nations awards.
Recently, Peter guided the successful merger of two local government entities, the doubling of annual opex and capex budgets to $300m. He facilitated executive and manager recruitment (with Blackadder Associates), and migrated organisation structures, salary systems, HR policy and staff development for the new council, culminating in the 2020 AR Bluett Award for metro/regional NSW councils.
